If you want the marriage to work, you gotta keep the other happy. If a person can't deal with this or make that sacrifice if needed for their significant other if thats what it takes (regardless if they are insecure or not), maybe mariage isn't for them. Remember though, if you are already married "it's cheaper to keep her", don't piss them off.

Tyler, having a GF and a wife are two different things bud. You are giving up ALOT by getting married, but you get alot in return. It is all about give and take in a mariage. People who don;t get this end up paying alot of palimony.

I thought the same way as you a few years back but with age comes new ways of looking at things. Freinds will always be important, but having someone who will put up with your crap for the next 70 years is WAY more important.

Yup, enjoy being young. I had a blast at your age, and realy yup until about 2 years ago when I turned 27 and we got real serious. No regrets later on that way.

In principle, I agree with you. However, in reality, you drift from many of your friends (particularly those of the opposite sex) once you get married. And then, oh my god, wait until kids come into the picture.

I used to have dozens of people in my life that I considered friends. After 12 years of marriage and 10 years of children, well, I have a handful of friends.

Maybe not everyone has that experience. And, maybe it's not all about fidelity either. All I can say is that my social life does not remotely resemble what it was before I got married.

Thank god for the internet though.
