Question on camera cards
I bought a new 2GB XD Type M+ high speed camera card. It does not seem compatible with my camera, which is about four years old, which didn't really surprise me, but I wasn't sure.
The ones I'm currently using are the XD picture card, which I still see available for cheap money in 512 MB
I'm guessing the Type M+ is too advanced for my camera? Are there any 1GB or 2GB which would work with the earlier digital models?

Is there any settings about memory in your camera's menu that you could fool with? Maybe it is expecting a different type of card.
did you have the card in backwards?

Took one picture again, the number of available pictures didn't change. Looks like it's not storing the pics. I'll check the Olympic web site, but something tells me the camera is not compatible with the M style card.

I think they are made with a notch on them that wouldn't allow it to go into
the camera incorrectly.
Lainey, some of the cards have a "write protect" tab on them so check the
outside of the card and see if there is something like that, could be in the
"write protect" position which would prevent the camera from saving photos
to it.

I don't see anything on the new card that's not on the old card....
I may run back to the store tomorrow, with the camera, and see what they have to say....
I can always buy a couple of the 512 MG ones....so much cheaper than they were four years ago.

Lainey what is your camera?
2gb may be larger than the addressing space of the camera.
