Question on camera cards

I always love this debate... Buy and use one gigantic card, or buy and use several smaller cards. My Canon is 8 megapixel and I can shoot up to 3-frames per second so it clearly has the ability to suck up memory. I own no cards bigger than 1 GB, and I must have about six 512 MB's plus a couple 1 GB's.
