Default question for a new owner

hey guys Bobby here again with a question from a friend.

a buddy of mine just bought a 01 Silverstone s2k, and unfortunatly it has the plastic back window which is all hazy.

i spent some time today search but the search feature isnt working for me so i was just going through loooking for anything about the windows but i found nothing....

anyone have some tips on how to clean the window, you can barely see out of it now.

thanks guys and gals, and my buddy should be registering here soon...

Use plexus and a ton of elbow grease.

Lol, I had the same issue. It is usually just dirt, scratches etc. I used Meguair's Plast-X...that's not a bad product. First clean with regular soap water, let dry and then follow the directions for Plast-X. I couldn't see through mine at all, but now it looks practically brand new and I can see through it just fine. Also, after you Plast-X it. I recommend a Muzmat for the well area because with the plastic windows, they tend to get scratched if there isn't a carpet there. I haven't had a problem since Plast-X and Muzmat.

Plast-X is a great product. It should restore the window with a lot less effort than it would take if you used Plexus. Once you have it nice and clear again then I would recommend using Plexus to make sure it stays that way.

As a side note, my uncle always swore by Pledge for maintaining cleaning the rear plastic window in his old convertible. I've never tried it myself though.

That's a new one for me.

Plexus is popular, as is Novus. Never tried Plast-x
