I have a funny story about the truck

I have driven nothing but standards for MANY years now and as you all know, foot on the clutch to start the car...

The day I rode with Doug for Breakfast and Beer I was really impressed when he started his truck standing outside next to it!

I said, "Wow, is that a new mod where you don't have to put your foot on the clutch to start it?!"

But of course, it's an automatic

That's almost as bad as the time I had a rental car for a few days and could not figure out why the key would not come out of the ignition... I forgot to put the car in Park

Admit I can't drive an automatic? I got NO problem with that

In another 20 or 30 years I may get an auto but until then... I like being in full control of what the car is doing

Another thing I could not afford Steve so I have never seen one in action

Pick one or both Erick, make up your mind My recommendation is that you go with the VT choice... it's less likely to get you in trouble at a later date

When I had a Nissan 4X4, it had an override switch that would allow you to start it without the clutch depressed. I was detailing the truck one day in a friend's garage and wanted to turn the front wheels, so I reached in, flipped the switch, and turned the key. The truck was in first gear. It lurched forward, me by it's side, and crashed into the garage wall. And to make it worse, between the truck and the wall was a Monitor heater. It got crushed, and the exhaust vent got pushed right thru the wall. Try explaining that one to the insurance company.

vtec sticker on your truck

The Honda logo above it was cheap and fell off, I have a new one to replace it with but it is too cold to put it on. The VTEC and Honda stickers are sort of braging rights, displayed on the back window with honor. Sort of like all the trucks around here with an Earnhart #3 on the back window.

The 9i is a joke. Those are the stickers we use at the track for our cars, the i is for Instructors. All the BMW guys know this sticker type very well. When you are on the road and you see another BMW with a driving school tech sticker you wave or flash your lights. Because my titan has never been on track I put my car number on it, and it works the same way, other BMW people know this is a driving school track guy, in his tow vehicle. It's nice getting the thumbs up from M3's while driving the Titan.
