We here in Upstate changed the date of our event as soon as we realized it conflicted with the holy grail of racing, the official start of the season, the bibical coming of the driving season, the Rolex 24-Hour.

I have to head back up north today to do some final business banking and pickup a custom order item the company wants cash for.

Believe me, I hear ya. I started working on my schedule for the year
- I had to bag my plans to go to Mid-Ohio for ALMS because it is 2 days before my track event at Mosport.
- SF is out because it is just a few days after my SCDA track event at The Glen
- Nor'E is in jepordy because of my August GVC track event at The Glen in addition to my annual Knapp Vineyards Sporting Roadster Tour which takes a ton of work in August

Can someone tell me why we car people don't have unlimited funds and vacation days?

 

Doug are you doing both days at WGI or don't know yet? I'm there Monday for sure, not positive about Tuesday yet.

Glad Ian finally posted the dates anyway. I think it's time for a track day topic so I don't here all those "Oh I wish I had known about it" posts in October

So what is everyone doing for excitement today??? I'm trying to decide if I need groceries badly enough to get dressed and leave the house today

I've placed an ad in the local paper for my business, updated my web site to reflect my new "LLC" status and have a paying project from a previous customer who decided she did not want to work with the company I sold my business to.

After my first "vacation" in 10 years -- (if one could call moving and separating from a spouse "vacation") -- it's weird to be almost back to a regular work day today
