Nope, it's just Lots of things to check out at the various hotels, shows to see, always something going on. Some folks go for the gambling we hardly bother with that.

I'd rather go back to Vegas than do Disney again.

Hookers & blow.

But really, I've only been once in 2003. It's really just more of an experience. I don't even gamble here, but I played some $5 blackjack for the heck of it. Even if you don't do anything "Vegas-like" it's still neat to see the place, go into the famous hotels, see a show or something. Everything's just so over-the-top, in addition to being iconic. Bellagio fountains, Luxor pyramid, etc.

I'd recommend renting a convertible and cruising up and down the strip at night. It'll be disappointing compared to the S2k if you get something like a Mustang, but it's a good way to experience the place. Plus you can drive out to the Hoover Dam.

Thanks for the recommendations everyone. As far as Vegas, I really have no desire to ever visit that place (Sorry Lainey ) as I don't gamble amongst other reasons. And Montreal/Quebec have crossed our minds but we would like to spend our money in the U.S. as sort of doing our small part for the economy . Probably the same goes for Bermuda.

Savannah does sound attractive though, thanks Cubby, great to hear first hand experience. There really is a ton to see, same with Charleston, SC which is Kimmies choice. One of the guys here recommended Nashville and another said Louiville. Flight and hotel for all of these places seems to be reasonable as well. Heck, for the same price, we could head to San Fran which I would choose in a heartbeat if it weren't for the 6 hour flight, ugh.

Thanks again for the recommendations!

Last years Memorial weekend we visited the Low Country of South Carolina as the locals called it. We spent the long weekend in towns called Isle of Palms, Folly Beach, and Hilton Head.
