Default s2000 mechanic

Hi,

I am looking for a mechanic recommendation who has a lot of experience with s2000's. I am located in Stamford, CT (45 mins northeast of NYC) but open to suggestions spanning from Eastern NJ to Eastern CT.

Also, when you provide the recommendation, please provide:

a) why you recommend the mechanic or shop
b) what work you had done

Thanks in advance!

Jason

His username is billman250. He is a private s2000 mechanic who has learned more than Honda engineers and technicians combined having worked exclusively on this car for over 10 years. As a personal friend I guarantee he won't do you wrong, nor will you find a better value service anywhere on the east coast.

I have had bill work on my car many times. I have travelled with him to TN as well as hosting him at my house in MA for the weekend. Lately we run into each other at the racetrack where he still comes by to wrench when we have time between laps.

100% agree. However if it's basic maintenance like diff fluid change/oil change I wouldn't drive all the way to eastern LI. There are plenty of DIY info. But any major maintenance like valve adj etc I wouldn't hesitate to go to billman.

Billman would only be about 1.5 hours in each direction from you without NYC/LI traffic, so that is certainly doable. As his name implies, he is the man. As posted above though, that still may be pretty far to drive depending on how basic the work is. My rate is pretty low

Billman250 done. Have him do his general maintenance checkup while you are there. It's a multi point inspection etc. but HAS VALUE and well worth while.
