take it from me... get a handle on all your debts now or else 5 years from now you'll be drowning in it.

having a clean credit report is something you might not care about now but down the line, when you are looking to get a mortgage for a house. you'll regret it.

I remember being 21 and having money burning in my pocket. Looking back I wished I didn't buy certain things because they just ended up being a waste of money.

I do remember... but how you manage finances in your professional and personal life appear to be very different.

Bottom Line is he is 21. That means he can drink legally and not much else... Generally I think financial responsibility doesnt kick in until 30 for most single males. (If that)
Got a 22 year old at work making nice money for his age and it baffles me how he chooses to spend it.

In the end Tyler, you will do whatever you are able to and disregard the advice you are given by those who have been there, assuming they dont know or understand you and your situation. That is basically every parent's life with a child 11 and older.

I have a 22 year old in his senior year at UML and I have to agree. Experience is the best teacher.

Dad has always said

"Experientia docet"

however he also said it's better to learn from other's mistakes than your own - mom used to argue this point with him until he said - would you put your hand on a hot stove...
