The secret is using an insulated cookie sheet and baking them for the longest time listed on the "recipe" ah..that would be the bag the mix comes. in.

Parchment paper helps immensely to get the cookie golden brown and not burnt whilst keeping it from sticking to the cookie sheet. No butter or spray needed. I still have my oatmeal toffee recipe if you need it.
