[QUOTE=mbroder@umd.edu,Oct 13 2010, 08:47 PM] Adler Mandel on rockville pike in MD, he also yelled at my girlfriend when she called in, hung up on her, and she called back and they were arguing over the phone.

Honda replaced my top a couple years ago. And I remember there being a lot of tension to close the top for a few months. My car wasn't like that when I bought it new(had 4 miles on it), but that's probably because it was sitting at a dealer for a while with the top up.

I do also remember having to use the handle to help close it when it was replaced.

Either way, that's complete BS that they're playing you like that.

Just so you know, its completely normal for a top to be difficult/tight to latch for a good amount of time. If it wasnt like that, when the top wore in, it would then become loose and look horrible. As far as your latches breaking, sounds they just broke from the stress. Get a new set of latches, and leave the top up for a little while. It will stretch and become easy. promise.

Never heard of this shop. When I had my new top put on it was snug, but there was no fighting or pulling to get the striker to latch.

Will spread the word, thanks for the headsup!

I park with my top down for 99.99% of the time and only latch my top when it's raining and i'm driving outside.

I find that my top is getting somewhat snug to latch also.
