Hey, just think of the $$ savings not paying for electric. You might save a whopping $30 this month!
Sure we'll save $30, but the bill for the hotel was $575.

Seriously Jerry, that sucks. Do you have above or underground utilities in your neighborhood?

Urban legend has it that one electric utility's call center received a call during a major outage from a customer who wanted to be assured that he wasn't being billed for the time his electricity is out. Said legend has it that the call center rep asked the customer to take a flashlight outside and look to see if the wheels in the meter were spinning. "Not spinning? Nope, you aren't being charged."

Bill Engvall would add, "Here's your sign."

with powered restored yet again after another days outage...( this is getting old)

so these are the shots from the day of and cleanup...

this was looking out the bedroom window and looking at where the ML was parked.

the cleanup

My neighbor bailed me out with his chainsaw.

towing off the trunk to the wood pile.

I had this silly idea that my son and I would carry that to the wood pile.
it only weighed liked 800 pounds

reduced to size

and the carnage left for spring cleanup

gonna be one hell of a bonfire.

Jerry the hatchet man.

Right now I'm thankful for our small yard with no large trees.

However lacking a chain saw i did what i had to do.
My neighbor "what are you doing?"

and those chaps are multi-functional, right?
