Default stupid inspections

OK so not the S200 but the daily driver.
I bought it used 5 or 6 years ago.
When I bought it, it had a busted fog-light.
Never really cared, becuase they are basically useless ornamentation anyways.

So I brought into the same dealer who's inspected it every time previously.

They flunk it becuase the fog doesn't work.
Fogs aren't mandatory equipment and they're not required by the feds or the state.
they're argument is "if a light is on the car it has to work ".
So now it's in the stupid RMV database a failed inspection becuase of the stupid light....

idjits, complete f'ing idjits

Oh well, you should just take 'em off, BB. I have to agree; that's a wicked stupid reason.

Mine failed a while back because the guy couldn't get the OBD connector to work. I drove around for 4 months or so with a rejected sticker (much longer than supposed to). Eventually, I went so far as to have Scott remove the eManage, which probably had nothing to do with it. I re-inspected and passed, BUT the date on the sticker was a year from the failed inspection. The state has to get its money, I guess.

rats I was hoping to bump it another month.
I ordered a fog light assembly from autohausAZ.
Ever since Wagner MB moved to the big shiny new building they have to make their numbers somehow.

I may have to find another alternative to them for service.
Certainly for inspections.
I only went there becuase I had to get an MB unique parking light bulb from them.
