So - did you ever wish that your best buddies could talk? Then they could tell you what they're feeling, how much they hurt, etc. It would give you the opportunity to tell them what's going on and have their input on the decisions that you are making on their behalf.
Our little guy Trevor tore his cruciate ligament (ACL in humans). This is the second one and he needs surgery.....again. He had difficulty with the first surgery, we don't know what the problem was, but they ended up taking the implant out. It would just be nice to be able to ask what the issue was.
OMG yes! One of our cats will at random walk around the house and just squawk like a bird (that's how she meows) for hours. Have no idea why, would love to know what she' saying!!
Our dog Heidi doesn't bark so much, she actually sneezes when she tries to get our attention (yeah, our animals have issues). Once a week or so, she'll just come up to you where ever you may be sitting, and stare at you, smiling (yes she can smile) and starts to sneeze. That one I pretty much know as, pay attention to me, but it would be cool to see what it would be in words. "Get off your lazy but and throw my stuffed Penguin for me Papa!!"
Second, you bet I wish Ganzo and Gizmo could talk. There are times when Ganzo will follow me from room to room, constantly screaming out. I'll stop and pick him up and he'll quiet down, but as soon as I set him down he goes right back to it.
And of course if they could talk one would assume they would understand our talking, so I could say once and for all, GANZO, get out of the f'ing kitchen when I'm cooking or you are going to get stepped on or have boiling water dropped on you! Geeez! How many times do I have to tell you?
