A friend of mine is buying a 2000 S with 25,000 miles on it. What are some things that he should look for. And when he test drives it what are some things he should listen for or check out. Any information would be very helpful. And one more thing have there been any common problems with a 2000 S with 25,000 miles or more.

 

just don't buy a used white S2000, it should be fine!!

You should always take a used car to a mechanic to get checked out before you purchase it regardless of what type of car it is. May I suggest you take to a Honda Dealership where they can hookup the car and diagnosis it in about 10 minutes. You will probably need an appointment. You may also want to check the maintenance records.

 

Run its VIN thru carfax.

 

Also, have one of the S2000 veterans take a look at it if possible...
