Default Tire question and introduction?

Hey guys I just picked up a 2000 silverstone with only 28,000 miles. Have been lookng for a while and finally found a super clean, babied one and I jumped on it. My question is that... one of the rear tires definetly needs to be replaced and the other is decent however I am going to be replacing both. Trying to get some views from the new england guys which tires you prefer for our road conditions, and also what size tire to go with. I searched the threads but there is so much arguing back and forth about whose right and wrong I was hoping I could just get some useful info from you guys.

Thanks for any help and I hope to make some meets in the very near future..

Are you going to be driving the car hard, auto-x, winters?

Give us some info and we can recommend tires.

Welcome aboard!

Stock rims? Is it going to be a rear round daily driver, summer car, or garage baby?

the stock S02's are great tires but $$$$
the other options are the RE01 and RE050's if you stay with bridgestone.

Welcome!

On AP1 wheels the real sizes to use
- 205/55-16
- 245/45-16

You will notice the manual referes to a different rear size, that 225/50-16 size is really only valid if you are buying the OEM S-02's.

Me? I use and love the Haankook Z212 RS-2, awesome price, fantastic performance.

Well if you are looking for that to not happen here, you have come to the wrong place.
