The S02 is a fantastic tire in the dry and wet with no puddles. S02 has a tendency to hyrdoplane quite easily in small puddles.
really ??
I always thought it was pretty good at least when the tread was relatively fresh.
now when they get down to the cord they get a mite squirrely in a heavy rain.

just ask my wife about the ride to dinner with Legal Bill
thought she was gonna rip the door handle off.

maybe I just have better car control

The tread design of the S02 does fantastic in the rain and wet, however when coming to a puddle has a tendency to hydroplane due to its design.

I've driven the snot out of the S02s in the rain and they are fine with no puddles.

I agree, and I have often thought, they are worse on a cold day on dry pavement before they get some heat in them than they are in the wet on a warm day.

I'd love to know what happens to the coefficient of friction around 38 degrees.
grip goes to hell in a handbasket.

I had more S-02 eye opening moments on cold fall/spring mornings or departures from work when the tires have not had a chance to get some heat into them than at any other time, dry or wet.
