If the turkey has been covered in bacon, how do you get even browning of bacon without getting the bacon too crispy due to the long cooking time required to cook turkey?

you don't but no worries it will be Delicious and your trip to the ER will be fun

about the trip to the ER, not sure about the delicious part. I've NEVER seen that done before.

Guess my question is do you think my guests will eat my home made cookies or will they fear for their lives?

Do you think because I have nothing to do with cooking the turkey then it should be safe to consume?

When do I cook the frozen pie??

This whole turkey dinner thing is taxing. I'll probably have to take a nap before dinner due to the stress.
i think he'll eat one but he'll drink all your beer

The beer supply is running low. Apparently with all the talk of turkey and the fixings we forget to restock. Oh well! Milk and cookies for all!!

So does a covered turkey cook faster? The turkey is done before we wanted it to be, then our son calls and asks if they can arrive a bit later.....

Love the holidays.

^^

I dunno i put my 12 pound turkey in the oven at 9:15 at 325 and pulled it at 12:30 I covered the top of the turkey with a small piece of tinfoil an hour and a half into the cooking and it was almost perfect. I say almost because the very ends of the thighs the part with the knuckle showing near where it rest by the neck was slightly overdone just slightly. The rest of the turkey was perfect

It was good, Rose made a killer gravy with the drippings
