Default Umm Snow..

Ok did anyone else get snow? We have 15000 without power here in my town and I would say we took a wallop for snow.

Were diehards no big deal but this one left that really heavy wet snow. Lets put it this way I have been snowblowing for 3 and a half hours and I only got half the driveway done. :banghead. This morning about 8 I took a tape measure and measured it as it was still coming down heavy.

Only 21 to 22" Bah

Ill put up some snapshot later right now Im going to eat breakfast and than go get some more snowblower gas and finish it off.

This is the local news report

Another powerful winter storm slams the state, leaving tens of thousands of Mainers in the dark. At last check, Central Maine Power was reporting 101,155 customers without power. Here's a look at which service areas were reporting outages as of 6:50AM:

Alfred- 16,400

Augusta- 5,600

Bridgton- 11,500

Brunswick- 29,000

Farmington- 2,700

Lewiston- 15,300

Portland- 11,500

Rockland/Belfast- 5,500

Skowhegan- 3,000

Police from agencies all over the state reported a number of slide-offs and accidents as the storm began moving into the state Sunday night. Speeds on Interstates 95 and 295 have been reduced. Drivers are urged to be extra cautious during Monday's morning commute.

Chief Meteorologist Charlie Lopresti says the mountains in Maine could see as much as two feet of snow. Up to eight inches has been forecasted for coastal areas and Lewiston and Augusta could see as much as a foot of snow.

AND the big bridge is out?

BREAKING NEWS: We are following some breaking news out of Portland. Portland police tell News 13 the Casco Bay Bridge going southbound is closed to traffic for the next several hours. However, the northbound side is open. There appears to be some sort of malfunction with the bridge. Meantime, the southbound side of the Veterans Memorial Bridge is now closed as well. However, the northboun side is open. Police say there is a hole large enough to see down to the water. That means the only way to get to South Portland is by taking I-295. We're continuing to monitor both developing stories, and we'll have the latest as it comes in here on the web and on News 13 at Noon.

^^ Thats a nightmare commute!

Not too much in Southern NH. I drove from Salem -> Nashua last night and it was coming down hard and there was slush everywhere. Snow tires on the S2k FTW Came out this morning though and I didn't even have to scrape off the windshield so it must have ended right as I got home.
