When my niece got married, she had this tabbed binder she walked around with as she was planning the wedding. I think there might have been a zip lock bag with a couple of Xanax in there too. She turned into the "bride from hell" for a while.

Wedding planning is a ton of work and stress too. Have I mentioned the idea of eloping, yet?

Does Zach's mother know her official role yet? I was once told that the mother of the groom is supposed to "wear beige and shut up."

I wore pale pink when my son got married, TRIED to keep my mouth shut and we wrote out checks as promised. I think we did OK.

I never did either. It's a ton of money, and a ton of stress for an eight hour day. The seating arrangement for the dinner is always a challenge.

Lots of folks want the wedding, though, so hopefully April will have some fun with her day.

April, if you change your mind and want to go low key, may I suggest a JP at the Mohawk Forest State Park on the Fall Mohawk run? It would be a blast.

My suggestion, take a nice romatic vacation, ELOPE, then have a party when it suits you.
When are you available for "consultations" in this department. I'm in favor of an extremely meaningful ceremoney but could do without the expensive reception. I have 2 daughters and will need some encouragement from others on a better way of speading money on something than a 3 hour party that they will probably forget in a short term........
