i priced them both out Fios vs comcast last year and found while the net might be faster with fios - Fios was more money if i kept the same amount of tv-

the other thing with Fios was the Gianormous box they need to mount to your house

Jerry - you mention a competitive landscape- i wish that was true but they are all priced the same much like cell phone plans

Based on where I live, Comcast and satellite would be my only options
for high-speed internet and based on what I'm hearing in this thread and
my personal experiences, I think I will just stick to my $15/month dialup.

Oh Hudson NH.... A company called Fairpoint should be there. They've only been there for about 8 months...

I think they offer dsl.. not sure though

I will check with them, but before our local service was changed to
Fairpoint, it wasn't offered in Hudson, maybe that has changed. Thanks

Yeah, I have heard that Fairpoint's "FAST"s service in NH is officially one big cluster ****. Stay very very far away right now

I never have problems with dialup getting slow based on how many
people are using it at the time, don't ever have to reset or reboot to
re-establish connection of my dialup, and it's $15.
