will erick spring for g25 ?
Wow, that is pretty cool graphics. They can't still be working on the version you are getting this week? Sounds like you will be able to download/install new options as they are released?

Another thing that is gaining steam as a business model are micro-transactions. You log into the playstation store via your ps3 and have the ability to purchase new cars/tracks for a couple bucks.

Wow! That is really cool. How long do they give you updates for free? Will you have to pay at some point or just buy a new version?

GT5 Prologue it just a demo some argue, albeit a really richly featured demo. They'll probably sprinkle new features into the game for free mostly until the full GT5 release in 2009. After that, I'd expect to see semi-regular free updates mixed in with micro-transactions.
It's a demo in that it doesn't pack all the features that a Gran Turismo game normally brings to the table. GT5 Prologue has about 70 cars in it. GT4 had 721. GT4 also had many more tracks. Those stats are a bit misleading though. There were 48 varieties (56 including race cars and other varieties) of Nissan Skylines out of that 721, so the selections weren't quite as vast as it might seem. Another thing that is taking the release of the full blown game so long is the huge advance in capabilities of the PS3 over the PS2. They say it takes them 6 months to model just one car in GT5 and there is a similar amount of polygons in just one car's modeled headlight as there was in an entire GT4 car model. If it's a demo, it's a one that rivals most developers efforts for a final release game.
