I wash the S every few days in the winter. I probably won't have it more than a few years anyway so I am not too too concerned about rust.
What an easy solution to a problem that has caused so many put their S's in hiding at the first snowflake.

We don't drive our S in the winter, but it's ready to go on a warm, December, January, or March day. All we do is take off the cover, go for a ride and it gets washed before the cover goes back on.

It's almost like magic.
