I'm leaning towards the michelin PA3 for my DD at the moment.
I had the PA2 and they worked well. They don't have a super deep block but they are fairly quiet and are R rated.

Wound up with the blizzak LM60's.
so far they are a reasonable performer on the dry.

Excellent choice for cold and dry, Jer. Did you get other rims or did you mount 'em on the stockers?

I brought in a set of stock rims that I picked up cheap when I bought the car.
Turns out you get what you pay for, not one of 'em was round. So I mounted on he rims I had on the car...
I have to figure out if I want to have these trued up and refinished at RimPro.

There is a side of me that would like to put on 18" AMG wheels...
I suspect it's not the same side as my wallet though

When I drove the Miata in the snow I ran Dunlop Graspics . It can drive through 7 inches of snow and it was lowered 2 inches

They do have the soft feeling though as they are snow and ice tires . So softer then the m3

Well, you might as well get an estimate to fix them up. Were they salvaged from an accident or something?

If you do decide to get another set of rims, I really think the 17" size looks right on the S. I know some folks like 18s, but I think it's too much wheel.

nah these are on the daily driver, my E430.
the 'other set' I picked up on fleabay.
as I said, you get what you pay for, and they were cheap.
thre is question as to whether the 18 would even fit the 4-matic so I'll likely stay with the stock 17's.

if I stumbled on a set of AP2 wheels for the right price I might grab them,
but the toy shall likely remain shod with 16" it came stock with.
