motor is going out to benson tomorrow.

here's the damage to the piston. rod bearings were fine. rings were fine. kinda weird. I guess I just got stuck with e lemon.

built a nifty little crate and now the motor is in transit. Talked to Mike at Laskey today. I'm gonna send him my stock crank, CP pistons, and IP rods and have the block sent directly to him after Benson is done. I'm going to have him do all the machine work and short block assembly. Next step is to strip the head tomorrow and get that sent out to Mike at Laskey as well for some Supertech valves, springs, and retainers as well as a 3 angle valve job. looks like things are finally falling into place.

 

Can you post your total cost at the end? I am always curious about how much a real turbo set up on a car is.. Or pm me.

I don't even wanna add it up. a simple turbo set up alone WITHOUT an engine build will run you ~5-10k alone including fuel upgrades, EMS, and all the other supporting mods... but I have a tally going here on my computer of what i've spent and what I still need to buy. I'll PM you when it's all done.
