About to hit 1,000 miles on my Thru-hike of the A.T.
So a few months back I announced that i was going to be thru-hiking the Appalachian Trail. It’s one of the 3 biggest footpaths in the world in the Eastern US and stretches through 14 states from Georgia to Maine.
I’m on day 76 and I find myself in Shenandoah National Park in Virginia around 920 miles in. By statistics, on 1/4 of the people who started are left on trail.
I’ve only seen about 2 s2000’s the entire trip and it really reflects on how rare this car really is. I really wish you guys could see some of these mountain roads with me, so many nice turns. Really makes me miss driving.
I’m not sure what I’ll be doing with the car after this journey. Doing a thruhike really puts into perspective what u really need in life. All I have is my pack and funds for food and the mountains give me everything else.
Long distance hiking, I still have to finish this one, but I’m already looking forward to the next 2 big trails in our country.
As I move up North I’m seeing more souped up cars. The South loves their muscles cars, especially mustangs.

Sounds like an awesome adventure.
The +1 and I like hiking, but we're not campers, so just daily stuff. We try to incorporate the National Parks into our vacations and enjoy what the country has to offer.
Enjoy the rest of the trip and best of luck finishing the entire trek.

Been following your stories religiously on the gram. See you finally crossed into Jersey and now NY. Never did the trail but the best parts are still to come I would assume, new Hampshire is amazing. Been day hiking the presidentials up there every other weekend so far... next is trying to backpack through the entire presidential traverse up there.
