Is anyone in the area using T-Mobile?
They got the JD Power award for highest customer satisfaction in the NY Metro Area. I looked on Amazon and they have some amazing deals for T-Mobile so I am curious if anyone is using it and how you like it.
I am currently on AT&T and have been for over 5 years. The service sucks even though it is said they have a good network. I know Verizon has good reception but their phones are so much more expensive and not on the new network yet.
TIA

U could also consider the Samsung S105 for longer battery life and colors.
It is also a tri-band gsm phone so u can use it in asia, if u plan on going there.
Unlike the T720 single band gsm
I think Panasonic also makes a phone but it cost about $500 with camera built it and
can take 100 pictures about without it being big.

I ordered a phone from Amazon about a week ago, should be here by the end of this week. It's the sony/ericson T68i. Has cam, mp3 player and blue tooth capability. It was $300-275 amazon rebate-$50 T-mobile rebate. They were paying you $25 to take the phone. The deal was only available up to the 7th of January. Now I think it comes out to be for free with rebates. Don't know about service yet. T-Mobile used to be Voicestream. I had one of thier phones for about 1 day. It did not work at all in, near or around my house. I had to go 2 blocks away for it to get service. I'll keep you posted on the subject though.

OK Dan...Here is your update. I love the phone!!!! But the damn thing does not work in or around my house.
(Hmm...this felt familiar.) I called T-Mobil and they told me that there were some "tower issues" (such as we don't have enough towers there?) in my area and that thier coverage map showed that there was less service by the water where I live(Beechhurst). The same bla..bla..bla.. that I got over a year ago with Voicestream. So here I am with the nicest phone that I've ever owned(minus the faggy blue color on the case) that does not work. Packed it up, cancelled service with T-Mobil and back to Amazon it goes!! You can try them out though Dan. I have a couple of friends that have service with them. They have no problems except for when they get my house.
By the way my Sprint phone works 100% in this area but since i'm going to Europe in the summer I wanted a tri band so that I could swap sim-cards and not have to purchase another phone while on vacation. So in conclusion for me for others . Best I can tell you is to get on to Amazon and order the new Motorola with T-mobile service, comes out to $50 with rebates. Has a color screan, digital cam capabilities, polyphonic ring tones(all the toys). Try it out. If you don't like it, do what I did(cancel service and send it back). Oh and even if you do like it, call the customer service department and tell them you are having problems with coverage(tell them you are around Beechhurst alot 11357 zip...my area). They were more than happy to offer me 500 minutes(I held out), then a $10 credit and finaly 1 months free service! Hope this helps.

It all depends on where you live. GSM coverage isn't the best around here because the 1900 Mhz frequency band used by T-Mobile has a short range, hence the need for more cell towers. That being said, give one of their phones a try as long as you know you can return it for a full refund within 30 days if you don't have coverage where you need it. I have the Nokia 8890 (T-Mobile) and it works fine where I use it here in New Jersey, with the exception of not always having a signal inside big buildings (another shortfall of the higher frequency).
FYI I'm a former VoiceStream (T-Mobile) employee.
