burning oil
Hum i thought my s2k wouldn't burn oil since it hasn't after 1k miles, no vtecs.
So after 1k miles i vtec it a few times nothing pass 7k.
So i decide to check oil today, since i vtec it about a total of 4-6 times.
Wow i can't believe i was down half a qt.
Almost half way down the dip stick.
It can burn oil fast.
I am going to try the next two fill ups without any vtecs and see if it burns oil.
Maybe just vtec burn the break-in oil up.

what kind of oil do you use? I've been using synthetic and it hasn't burned oil as other described it. Sure I do vtec any chance I can get but i haven't been able to for over a month.

ahhh... just add more oil. when I changed my oil for first time, 2000miles (did not read owner's manual), oil was black! I didn't even knew it burns oil and i have to add oil. any way, watch your oil level and take easy until 7500 miles.

Good luck after 22k mine is still burning oil. Honda said it is acceptable to burn up to a quart a month ??? I feel my car may have been abused before I got it

wow brian, you car still burns oil? how much oil? a quart a month sounds a bit much.
i have 20k miles and my car hasnt burned any oil since 2k.. but i'll always carry around a quart of mobil1 just in case
i'd go get a second opinion man..

I just put 1/2 Qt in mine. only have like 1.2k miles on it. Everytime I drive it hard , I can smell the oil burning on my cloth. You know the kind of smell when you ride the bike.
What the hell as long as you enjoy driving it just like I do.
