Default Final Pics of the Car

Here are the final engine shots of the car (scroll down). It took some time to get all the bugs out and get it running right. The car only made two dyno passes and is not completely tuned. I know plenty of you will ask for the numbers, so Ill give you a some general info: the car made about 390hp and 260tq at 8psi on 100 octane. This was without nitrous and bypass vavle. So there is some more left in the car. The block is entirely stock so I will not push it too much for now, until the built block and diff is complete.

I'd like to see a S/C make that power even at 9psi . Not to mention the power kicks and at full 9psi instead of progressive, waiting for paint to dry, sort of powerband.

stock motor can be stable depending on the kit itself and it's quality...and most importantly, the tuner and your dedication to put up with learning a lot of things. Your motor will have less life span with boost than without boost no matter what you do. S/C or turbo. S/C will wear out your crankshaft and bearings. Turbo will wear out your rings and pistons as well as retainers. Good thing honda motors last so long

We are not both using the full race kit. I'll be going with something else most likely.

It's also not just $7000 for the full-race kit. It's a good bit more than that to get it all in.

this is not a full race kit. The only component from full race is the manifold. Everything else is either fabricated from SPI Power Excel or purchased seperately. The car is not fully tuned so I am not driving it yet. Regardless, the car was never really a daily driver, it is just used on the weekends depending on weather. Its only set to 8 psi and there have been many owners running 8 psi on their daily drivers. For daily drivers, I do not think it is safe to go pass 9 psi on the stock block. The spring rate when set to auto is around 6 psi and on high boost is around 8 psi.

btw..I WISH this was only 7K it would have save me some discussions with my wife.
