LI help needed w/ restaurant
Hi guys/gals,
I am new to Long Island and need a recommendation for a romantic restaurant in the Suffolk County area to take a date. Any recommendations are appreciated. She lives in Miller Place... But i will have the "S" with me so any surrounding areas would work.
I need to get a handle on this ASAP date is Saturday night.
Thanks

sorry don't know much in Suffolk. We use to go the 56th Fighter Group Restaurant. It has a club on one side and a nice restaurant on the other. It's located on the grounds of the Republic Airport in Farmingdale.

what's that steak house on 347...I brought a date there once, it was nice, expensive but she was impressed enough to sleep with me that night...although she went on a date with me so she probably wasn't very classy to begin with.
I think it's called Paces and I think it's in hauppauge.
correct me if I'm wrong but there's a nice italian restaurant next door and another steakhouse across the street.
that's all I know about suffolk county...hope that helps norm

Miller Place isn't far from Port Jefferson.
There are several good restaurants in Port.
Here is a list from Newsday:

I've been to the Printers Devil - good food - dimly lit.
Danford's is also good - right on the marina if you like to look at boats.

Think of this as your S2ki duty.. you are helping fellow member possibly get either
1) slapped across the face after an expensive meal in a restaurant of your choosing
or
2) get some much needed play with a hottie (and possibly pictures)
LOL

Very good suggestions. Thanks for the link. If this was the city I would open a Zagats.. but now that I am on the Island I am out of my element.
thanks again
