also for an accident like that theres usually no wait time in payment... you just have to wait for the insurance company to look at the car.... which is completely up to you ... basically u take it to one of there "certified shops" which is usually any old body shop around the area you in.... they look and assess the damages... and give you a quote... and cut you a check right then and there...thats what happened to me anyways...go through his insurance company its your best bet....

go through his insurance but ur insurance would look at it as an accident u were invovled in and ur rates CAN go up even if it not ur fault. think about it this way u can get into 5 accidents in a year and none of them were ur fault at all records and everything shows this but depend on ur insurance they can look look at u as a liability and ur prone to accidents regards of whose fault it is...but i doubt ur rates will go up....just something to think about.
