It clearly says in the S2000 manual to change the oil every 7500 miles yet i'm at 2600 miles right now since my last one and it's getting really black, what do you guys think, for other cars i usually change the oil every 5000 miles, because i can care less for them, but i care to much for my S2K.

I change oil once a year. Seriously.

Funny, I was wondering the same thing. I've changed it every 3k or 3 months for the 1st year, then I realized I've only put 8k on it in the past yr. lolll so
I think I'm gonna wait another 2k (I past the 3k interval) and then change it.

How many miles is that S-Factor?

It varies. I find myself driving my S less each year. I'd say less than 10k in each of the last 2 years, much less this year. I do use synthetic oil and add half a quart every thousand miles.

Maybe i'll become like that in couple of years, but as of now i love driving hard and making miles.

i change my mobil 1 every 5k, which is about 5-6 months. oil has improved so much that 7500 miles on dino oil is fine. its really up to you since oil is cheap and changing it is easy. 3k is the old school way to go, but you can easily go twice as long now a days, especially on synthetic.
