I posted a thread on the Upstate NY section asking for some recommendations for a local lawyer to fight a speeding ticket. I didn't get much feedback so I'm hoping perhaps I will get better results here.

Hey Fellas,

First time I posted in this section and was wondering if any of you guys could recommend me a lawyer for a speeding ticket my brother got in the city of Port Ewen. On the ticket, it lists the town as Esopus. I was planning to go with my brother to fight the ticket but didnt realize just how far it is from us (we're in the NYC metro area).

Does anyone know someone that they can recommend? I'm currently fighting a speeding ticket myself and while my lawyer can help my brother, he's gotta charge a hefty premium for travel cost to go that far north. Just trying to see if we have any other options. Thanks guys.

I'm sure most of you guys will tell me to PM Defender, which I did already. He gave me a name but this lawyer will charge a substantial amount to travel to upstate NY to fight the ticket. I'm just wondering now whether getting a local lawyer in the city of Port Ewen would save my brother some dough.
