Default sad news for me... but not to sad

First No i did not wreck my S. I love it to much. But regretfully i will only be driving the S from May-Aug. every year. I currently am a freshman in college and im transfering to John Jay School of Criminal Justice in Manhattan. I will be living in queens and my apartment wont have a garage so i dont want to keep it on the street in jamacia.

So i wont need a car if i live in queens and take the train to classes.... And my parents will pick me up (they work in manhattan and live in suffolk) on the weekends to go home. when i go home ill have my Hummer to drive. Were keeping that with insurance because its cheap to insure and my parents use it sometimes.

So to save the money from paying my redicoulous insurance, gas, and parking space (got quotes ranging from 200-300) per month i will be garaging the S at my parents place from sept-april. Im going to cancel the insurance policy after my current policy is up in august... any tips on how to store it?

After i heard this from my dad today i think my heart is broken ill miss driving around top down all the time... even in the winter.... and i was going to go FI soon but now it seems like that will have to wait a long time....

One of the kids im going to be living with has a base 05 civic and ill b borrowing his car when i need it which will be rarely... but shit it sucks driving that thing....

I suggest taking the tires off and putting in fuel preservative and you might want to put your battery on a tender

You can keep the tires on, just jack the car up a bit. Every week you are home, take the car around the block once or twice just to move the fluids around. That, and what jacko said. I highly recommend this one...

I've had it permanently installed under my hood for over 3 years, and it hasn't gone wrong once.

yeah this is sad news to me... i love driving my car.... im on pace to hit 16k miles per year.... and my parents r hving a hard time with everything. My father's business is doing bad so they are short on cash.

I paid the s2k off already but i would have to pay 200-300 a month for a garage and insurance (which is very high for me) so im just gonna drive it in the summer.

So im going to put the money im going to save towards my college tuition and living; etc.

Well i dont need the money. The car is paid off. So its not like im paying interest or anything. The money i save from just driving it in the summer will save me enough for college tuition.

Also i need a car in the summers. And whats better for the summer than the S? lol...

thx guys for the tips. Im gonna keep it jacked up and drive it around the block once a month. Also im going to use wut u recommended nfrs2000nyc. What kind of fuel perservative do you guys suggest?

You paid off an '07 car in one year, but 200-300 a month for a garage and insurance is a lot?
