Surface scratches... Polish?
I posted this over at the detailiers area as well figured id ask you guys as well
So I visited my girlfirend at school, always paranoid out first thing in the morning to check on my car and sure enough all these scratches odd going up and down on my door, but anyways it seems like they can be polished out. I dont have any tools or anything so im asking is there or whats the best kind of compound I could use on a cloth?

Not deep at all... Dam rutgers I hate having my car here
I think they will come out pretty easy with a polisher but... I just want to get the best stuff and hope I can get them out by hand... It may not even be in the paint may just be.. the paint of another car or somthing its really odd.

Pics would help. Also, can you feel them if you run your fingernail over them?
Getting them out by hand will be tough, but not impossible.
I'm just down the road in Washington Township. I consider myself a noob when it comes to detailing....however, I do have a PorterCable (Orbital), various pads and a number of Adam's products/polishes. I would be willing to lend a hand if you want to give it a try.
An alternative would be to have a 'pro' look at it. It seems Andrew "AndrewBigA" has a nice detailing business and would be more than capable of taking care of something like this. His prices seem very reasonable for what he is providing.
Hit me up via PM if your interested in trying yourself.

Good luck with the scratches, and I second the "Possibly let a pro do it aka Andrew"
At the same time if I may pose a question on topic, I've wanted to start doing a polish on my car, and a orbital buffer comes to mind, but having never used one, is it truely newb friendly? Or am I gunna burn clearcoat and screw things up?

It's honestly not worth obsessing over until you get out of the Mecca of awful motorists.
