I'm commuting. OTOH, I might be interested in camping the weekend of the Historic Races, if anyone else is of a like mind. Eric? Doug?

Boy scout at heart. Camping at WGI or another State Park?

If I camp out for the Historics, it would be at WGI. I've been threatening to camp out there for years, so this year seems a good time to put it to the test. Now the only question will be where to camp inside WGI?!?

I'm most likely camping for the sports car weekend, so I may be commuting or considering a tent, not really sure yet.

Eric, your friends will be at the sports car race right, the flying lizards? That should be a great weekend for me as I will have Organizer Pass and Credentials because GVC BMW CCA is putting on one of the Saturday support races and I have volunteered to work at the event.

Yes, the Lizards will be Flying at the Glen in June. Here is their schedule.

I might like to camp at the track that weekend too.

Doug,
I mentioned this event a Spring Fling and got alot of intrest. Is this something we want to do as a club. I notice on WGI site that no less than 6 groups are running rallies on Friday.

Nick, maybe I'm missing something here but we are doing something as a club... The primary activity is the laps around the old course in the organized rally AND THEN the race weekend, I have no control over those events and if people delay, they will not get into the rally, although general ticket sales will be available indefinitely for the race.

If and when people sign up and post here so we can see the number of people we are talking about we will put together a more specific plan. Right now it is 4 people and it is 5 months away. Keep in mind, if people have not already made a plan for that weekend they may not find a single empty hotel in Watkins Glen.

I'm all for putting together a dinner activity or something, but keep in mind, the activity is not an S2000 get together for a drive, it is a bunch of S2000 owners getting together to enjoy a race weekend at The Glen.
