Default Dr. NO & Miller Agree to do TSB 54

Well they would not take it in unless I had plates on it or I had it towed in. So it went in today. Hard top Guy noticed the buzzing when we were out in it last October. Just hope these guys do it right. They still won't fix rattle from left front suspension unless I put everything back to stock. Will still go see Jeff in a few weeks for the suspension work & a few other goodies.

Tecnical Service Bulletin #054 from Honda is a memo detaling a Warranty fix for a buzzing noise heard while decelerating in 3rd or 2nd gear. Check the S2ki library for a complete listing of all TSB's for the S-2000. This knowledge will help you get the Warranty work you have comming to you. It is one of the major benifits of being a member.

I have had good Luck with the service manager, Bob. His son is a great mechanic if you can get him to work on your car. Dr. No is the one calling the shots for Warranty repair and he is worse than an HMO with out of area referral.

Miller's service manager did the work, took two days got a loaner and no charge. Car is Quite, I never noticed the noise. Thought it was part of the S experience. Clutch seams soft, smoothe, and long. Hats off to Miller Honda (for now).

Keep us posted! I have the same problem. Its been there since birth. Like you, I thought it was no big deal until someone pointed it out to me. At 10K miles, it buzzed very loudly one night like it was going to fall apart. That has only happened a total of 3 times, and I lived with the problem since.

It will go under the knife very soon. I hope they get it right. I think they will also do the spark plug recall.

I will keep you posted.

I took mine to Ralp Pontiac Honda in Greece NY. They treated me very well and did a perfect job.

Just got my S back Friday, after the TSB-054 (clutch disk) and spark plug recall.

Wow, the car sounds so different... its so much quieter. Even running at constant speed, its very quiet. Before, the clutch springs must have been vibrating constantly, producing a continuous background noise that I became used to since day-1. A great improvement. Of course, the engagement point has changed slightly but I will get used to that.

Honda City in Syracuse/Liverpool did the work. The service manager recognized the noise immediately during our test drive (I didn't have to convince him).
