Your prep looks good. Just be sure to ensure engine oil is always topped up and that you bleed brakes before the event.

Jeff (blueosprey90) is a very nice person and extremely funny. So don't let his eye roll icons make you think he is being mean. You'll enjoy meeting him as much as you will enjoy meeting everyone else on Upstate. We have a great bunch of people in this sub-forum.
Will do on the oil and brakes! Yeah I assumed he was joking around. I look forward to meeting you guys at this event! I am officially signed up for the 7th by the way.

^ added you to the list on page 1. Looking forward to seeing you there

Be sure to have your friend put you down as having referred him. You'll get a coupon from SCDA towards another event.

Just reserved a room at the Budget Inn.

Everyone that's going, I hope you've made room reservations.

I am well aware that the car is going to outperform the driver so my goal is to learn and have some fun!

Whatever you do, don't lift in the corners!

Since Mr. Aashish convinced the powers that be to do a Boot delete track day, the Aarmco wall at Turn 6 won't distract me.

Perhaps these study aids may help. In the video, notice placement of inside tire in relationship to concrete patches.

I emailed Ian. He said ZERO CHANCE. They start work on July 6th.

So I was reading up about when the repair is supposed to start. There is no confirmed date except that they want to start in early July after the SCCA race weekend that will be using the long course. Well the SCCA race weekend is Independence Day weekend, and we go there on the Monday and Tuesday following. Now after that holiday, I am hoping the construction crews are a little late to arrive, considering its the long weekend and all and some people might take an extra day or two off to be with family. If that happens, then I am hoping they open up the full track to us on day one and it would be great if they could do it one day two as well.

Having said that I am excited about the short course. The only time I drove it, was with Greg in my car, when the incident with the 911 happened. It would be nice to drive another flavor of Watkins Glen.

Also when you call, please let them know you are there to visit the track. That way they may give you a track rate for your stay.

I'm pretty pumped for this. I took my Silverado out on the Glen last year before I bought the s2000 and ever since, I have wanted to run my car on the track. Other than the roll bar, my setup for the first track day will be: new fluids all around, Project Mu NS400 pads, challenge stainless brake lines, custom front brake ducts, 225 square Hankook RS-3s on stock AP1 rims, moddiction front sway bar, Fujita intake, and AP2 retainer upgrade. Is there anything else I should worry about from a reliability standpoint (understanding that my car has 188k miles)?

A2, can you send me the sign up code?
Nice prep and for the roll bar! When doing the brake fluid be sure to remember the clutch fluid too (it's brake fluid so use the leftover if you did not know). The clutch gets pretty cruddy looking in the reservoir for some reason.
Remember it's supposed to be fun so bring your real smiley face!

Yeah the clutch fluid is on my "all fluids" list . The clutch was getting squeaky at the end of last year and the pedal wasn't as smooth as when I first got the car so I am going to change the fluid and grease the contact points and clean up the slave pin via the DIY thread on here so hopefully that will solve those issues.

Tupakbubba Steve is registering as well. Hoping we get to beat 11 cars like that first time we did it.

Steve has signed up. Added him to the list.

Anyone on the fence, please sign up. The event, per Ian, is filling up quickly.
