Not sure I agree with #10 - Idling in the Paddock. Shouldn't the engine be up to operating temps before one goes out on track.

Extremely sad. It appears the driver succumbed to injuries and the instructor is seriously injured after a crash at Roebling Road during a PCA event

WTOC : 1 dead after high-performance driver education course ends in crash

EDIT: this was posted on FB by a person that runs a nationwide DE Program
Reliable Intel : the driver had a medical episode in car and stopped driving at speed. The car went off while the instructor tried to control it from the right seat. The instructor has several broken bones but no life-threatening or critical injuries. It is unfortunate that someone died. But he did not die in a car crash as a result of participating in a d event.

If you have been parked in pit lane behind a poorly tuned V8 track car in 90 degree heat and they throw a flag for a delay....you might have a different opinion on that one.
I damn near passed out at VIR one year, had to actually get out of my car and leave pit lane because fumes were so bad. Remember - you have windows you can close !.

I may not be doing track days until later in May. That aside, I posted this in response to El Jefe elsewhere on the forum. Figured I'd post it here too:

But he came back very well from a season ending lap like that and to him. I on the other hand would probably sink into deep despair and hang up my Pilotis.

Aashish has a knack for capturing S2000's spinning out.

I’m thinking I’ll go the entry level street car class and hopefully see if that works. You have a TT license from COM. I think that should work for you to get licensed right away. I’ve one from EMRA and I’ll see if that will fly.

Club Racing is the white elephant among scca programs while autocross is the one that keeps bills paid. If they can get more people out to TT while combining TT with Club race weekends then they can potentially improve revenues for all regions.
