I didn't pull the car out of storage, but I went to the barn, pulled the car cover and started it up. Car cover had a hole nibbled by the mice; and tin foil placed over the air intake had evidence of being chewed by the mice - but no nests or other damage as far as I could see.
Then I spent about an hour or so lowering my second race engine into the basement. Need to get it out of the garage. The engine weighs about 400 pounds and I have to slide it down about 12 stairs. Not easy.
Driving the Volvo to work today.

Well, today was the BIG day! Got up early and turned the sprinkler on to throw some water on the burned out lawn.
Then hooked up the battery charger to the Volvo PV444 to give it a bit of last minute juice. I have been having difficulty starting it at times, although the 13 year old battery seems to hold a charge.
Then took the Escape to the storage barn and pulled out the MGA on its trailer and brought it home, backing the rig into the drive.
Started up the Volvo and drove 4 miles on the back road to the storage barn. Parked facing out so I could back the Volvo into the S2000 space.
Started up the S2000 and pulled out of the barn.
Went to pull the Volvo into the barn and it refused to start. Fortunately, I had a few tools in the trunk, and after much ado, was able to get it started. After I scraped off some tarnish from the battery terminals, it turned over more freely, but still weakly. Still wouldn't start though, and I thought the fuel pump had failed. But I was getting fuel and finally it did start.
Put the Volvo away and drove the S home and then to work, top down.
At some poing in the not too distant future, need to do a seasonal oil change as I failed to do one last November. Also need to check my calipers for sticking pins.

Got out for a great ride Monday in an upstate region even more rural than Rensselaer county
We have some great and empty driving roads here in Upstate that I think we take for granted
Getting out early today before it gets too hot
