I very much liked the continental extreme contacts, but technically they are supposed to be a rain tire. They were good on track and on the street for 3 or 4 years - until they weren't! I kind of feel that the tires failed me at Lime Rock last fall and contributed to my slide into the wall. It was cold (about 40 degrees), and the tires were maybe on their final legs in that the shoulder of the front left was a bit chorded, still ... only going about 80 mph coming out of the Downhill.
Nevertheless, I think they were good tires,
In other news, another uneventful weekend. "Got the car up on jack stands" for some new rubber, worked on the MGA engine (report to follow soon); replaced the heater fan resistor on the Escape, attempted to start the Volvo (fail) and ran up to LP today to feed the birds. Snowing here when we left, but cold and sunny up there.
Speaking of jack stands ...

Tire rack also has the "extreme performance summer" which are 200twr and much cheaper than the max performance summer tires in that similar 150-160$ area. The Michelin pilot sport 4s are 300tw so I imagine the 200tw are far more grippy due to that rating.
Either way, my S never sees rain, only gets driven on nice days and I don't intend on tracking or doing autocross. Just want something comparable to what I had before. Obviously something as grippy, certainly not less and like I said I don't wanna do something overkill as attractive Michelin ps4's are.
I have time. My car isn't due for inspection till summer and I'm gonna bring it out in April

One thing to note, at least with the stock 17" wheels, you can go up to 225 width tires on the front and 255 width on the rear. Often I see prices for those sizes are lower than the stock 215/245 tire prices.
Personally, I'm never buying Bridgestone ever again, and I know @NH_s2k_Guy probably won't either. But that's a tale for another day.

Tire rack doesn't let me select 225 by default however it doesn't seem to be that theyre cheaper either way. I know it's just tire rack and I can look elsewhere.

I've been running 225/255 on stock AP2V1 wheels with zero issues for 8 years now. Not that I think the extra 10mm makes any sort of noticeable performance difference, but the set of 4 tires I bought at the time came out to about $100 less than the stock 215/245 tires.
To my knowledge, the CR used AP2V3 wheels. Any of the OEM 17" wheels should handle the slightly larger tire sizes without a problem.

Depending on your location, Dunn Tire might have some decent deals. I went through them when I replaced my tires on my old truck, and they were cheaper to buy from directly once you factored in the costs of install/balancing/alignment.

I'm bringing my S in for some work, it has right around 100k miles.
A couple of things I have seen in passing on s2ki were something about retorquing the wheel bearing nuts and
a valve adjustment? Can someone provide more detail on those so I can let the mechanic know I want these
things done? TIA
Also, any other recommendations for 100k services? They are going to do all fluids, cabin filter, etc.

I think the spark plugs need to be changed around 100k, but I wouldn't be surprised if you changed yours long ago when you went FI.
Timing chain tentioner should probably be checked since it is a known issues as the miles get up there.

Mark, Google "S2000 rear wheel nut torque spec". Look for Billman's posts in this thread, but I think he also has more recent postings. Rear Axle Nut TSB - DIY - S2KI Honda S2000 Forums:
There are also many posting on how to do a valve job - engine must be absolutely cool - but I'm getting kicked off the computer. Look at the Under the Hood forum. Also a wealth of information here. S2000.club [Anything and Everything Honda S2000]
You probably need new plugs at 100,000.
