I-N-S-U-L-A-T-I-O-N!

A cold garage is miserable.

I went out in the wind. Put the tire back on the rim, blew all tires up with air, reinstalled the gas tank, but not the line. Put away a few tools. Tractor is starting to look like - er, well, ... a tractor. But pretty ragged and rusty. I wonder if I can improve the look with a custom wrap.

A little later - dodged a bullet. The dead ash on the adjacent property blew down. Missed the house by about 4 feet.

Jake that looks like a pretty low profile lift, I have 10 1/2' ceilings in my garage and was hoping to do a lift.

What does it use to lift? Air? Hydraulic?

Super jealous. I wish I had the room for a lift in my garage. It would make life so much easier.

hydraulic. It’s a Mohawk A-7A, the posts are 8’ and the hydraulic lines run another 4’ above those posts. It’s a really good lift for tight applications. If you can run the lines into/through the attic it could work for you. Mohawk lifts are super reliable and easily serviceable, made in the USA right here in Amsterdam Ny.

Happy Birthday to three Upstaters

@Bugsy
@Conedodger
@HarryWho

i know they haven’t been on in a while but hoping they all have a great birthday.

In touch with Jeff. I know Cone Mark is still in the Roc area and auto crossing too as my ITS mentor, Tim Moriarty at Watkins Glen, told me he’s still around. Haven’t heard from Harry, but I hope he’s well too.

Happy Birthday old denizens of this site!

I continue to putter away. My big accomplishments over the weekend were: 1) changed the oil on the Escape; 2) took about 20 quarts of used oil to the oil dump for disposal; 3) got the tractor to start and running on its own power; 4) bought a new seat and replacement belts for the tractor; 5) started to think about disassembly of main tractor components for rust removal and paint.

Yeesh, you're making me look bad with all those accomplishments. I really wanted to prep the S2000 for winter storage, and get the holiday decorations up over the weekend. Instead, I spent my time watching a munchkin "reorganize" the contents of every single floor-level cabinet in the house.

Kinda freaking out that there are only two weekends left before Xmas. I still have some holiday shopping to do at the local stores. All the e-commerce gifts have been ordered.
