took the Tarmac out for its 1st ride! Haven't fully adjusted everything yet, but it is much smoother than my Klein, it changes direction faster and climbs more efficiently. I have no data as my computer hasn't come in yet, but it feels a few mph faster as well. It also makes a great whirring bearing sound when i'm spinning up the cadence on flats. It's not as night and day as i was expecting, but it feels really nice.

At least the seat is flat and not bent to one side... lol.

hehe, yeah seriously. The new seat has less padding, but is actually more comfortable, even when the seat wasn't bent. I can't wait to ride home! I'm definitely taking the long way home.

I honestly have no idea. The last time I looked at the actual brand I think was when I first bought them... lol. I can check it out for you tonight and let you know. I know they aren't anything fancy cause after I dropped that much cash on the bike, I didn't want to go crazy on the pedals.

I would really like to have the Speedplay pedals though...

Rode the WHOLE WEEK. Every freqin' day. It's only about a 70 mile week but .... I'm proud. People can do 70 miles in a morning.

Funny, my co-worker who kept bugging me to commute in had never gone a whole week of riding into work.

Before you know it, you'll be riding a road bike on the weekends cause you love the feeling of the pain and you'll also be rockin some spandex shorts with a cycling jersey
