You need a liscence to be a bartender?

Most schools don't teach you must and if I am not mistaken just give you a "certificate"
You just need to know most of the drinks, how to mix/pour/serve them, and accurate SPEED will make you money.

Well I don't know, but when I was in Texas you need some kinda license maybe not. It could just be "certificate" like you said, 2ks2kync. You where to get the certificate?

Texas might be different. Depends on the state. I was in the night club industry and new tons of bartenders. Some went to schools some didn't. Didn't really make a difference. Just do a google search for bartending schools. I know if you plan on working in Manhattan you should be tall and female to get the real good paying jobs. I see you are currently in CT. Things might be easier up there but might require a liscence or cert. You can also hit a few of your local watering holes and chat it up with the bartenders there. They usually answer all that just to keep you buying drinks.
