$30k (approx) for a Megabusa Westfield seem decent?
unless you get real lucky[or happen to be a fabricator yourself where time and labor are "free"]don't count on the 2 grand for "installation"...by the time you get a finished, legal, running, sorted vehicle it run as much as 10 g's...not to mention the actual elapsed time to do all this.....6 months + 40 odd thousand dollars???..might want to consider getting a finished car..[but watch out!...the ads usually say "needs sorting"...i wonder why.....]
you might want to look around, I'm sure there are several individuals who started building these cars and got tired of them and would rather part with them than face up to the challenge. it happens! do a search on the super 7's - a similar build of car (actually its more like the other way around) where individuals built their cars, spending a few hours each night and on weekends, in a matter of a month to three months total. of course, then the painstaking problem always arose when they got the registration and said that they built the car. there are some great stories out there, and its a great car, but for some reason, with the excursions out there, I want to be higher than someone's tire.
Have you heard of the T-Rex? A company called Campagna Motorsports out of Quebec City was building these some years ago using a GSXR 1100 engine. It was a 2 seat, 3 wheeled (2 in front) car that was blindingly quick. Used a huge Corvette tire in back. It had a turnkey price of about $25,000.00 US. It was a very sleek looking car, better looking than the Westfield, IMO. I was really keen on one of these but their marketing out of province to the rest of Canada was very bad. I haven't heard anything from them for about 2 years now. They were doing a big push in the States then. Sorry I don't know the website anymore. Maybe try a search if you're interested.
