I'm with the coach. Until the final buzzer sounds, the game is still on. Sportsmanship means having enough respect for your opponent to bring your best game to the table.

What the hell looks worse, being beat by an opponent that's trying his best? Or being beat by an opponent that's relishing in the fact that they don't even need to try.

The parents of the losing team are a bunch of ****ing pussies. A loss is a loss whether it's by 1 or 100, it doesn't make a difference in the columns anyway. The girls didn't talk shit or started showboating, they were just playing basketball.

 

read this story on the papers... its just wrong... that they did that... they decided to forfeit the game after thinking bout it.

 

i agree with the coach. i believe his comments more than the rest of the media and i don't think they did anything wrong. it's up to the refs to call the game, and if they didn't do that, what else is the team supposed to do? run around like the fuk'n Harlem Globetrotters? shoot half-court shots? now that would be unsportsmanlike.
