Nah, any excitement at their games makes me happy. Let's be real here, Canadian police would politely ask the person to stop and leave and they'd comply apologetically, issuing a national apology, followed by a voluntary donation to spouses of KIA police.

You know it's funny, I hate the widespread use of tasers - I think they're just too EASY for cops to use, and they get overused in situations where they are not necessary.
That said, you made a statement that cops die in training from using tasers... and then completely failed to back that up with any evidence... and Mikey called you on it. Quit acting like he's in the wrong here.
Take a look at the wikipedia article you linked to.
There is only ONE reference that says there are 100+ deaths, and that doesn't specify
-when
-where
-or ANYTHING ELSE

^ that is the site the wikipedia article references. Guess what? That article cites NO sources. It's just a webpage. That is not evidence.
Next up, we have an actual published scientific study that found no deaths directly caused by tasers in their sample of 1000 cases. Note that this one is, in fact, what we would call *real scientific evidence.* http://www.physorg.com/news111080086.html
Find us a report about cops getting killed in taser training.
Until then,
Mikey > you
Much love.

With 50,000 people in the stands, even if 1/10 of 1% running across the field it would ruin every game ever played. Maybe the next dumb kid that wants some attention will think twice before acting.
Even if there is a risk of dying from being tased, in this case, the kid is lucky a bunch of rabid fans didn't get a hold of him and tear his arms out of his sockets. I think what we are seeing is a lack of fear by kids, when I was 17, it was fairly easy to get my ass beat by any number of people for doing something stupid, this little punk obviously led a sheltered life.

I guess that's a start, but wouldn't it just be easier to bomb them? Or ban hockey and close Tim Hortons so they kill themselves? I'm just saying, there's probably a more effective way to kill them off.

We'd eventually starve without access to TimBits

I would say that the woman who fell and hurt her neck and had various auxilliary issues suffered as a result of bad preparation and safety on the part of the trainer. Don't put someone in a position where they can fall when you're about to incapacitate them. A fault of the Taser? I don't think so, it's proof that the tool has the ability to temporarily (effectively) paralyze a person and put them on the ground.
Instead of shooting the contacts from the taser, they use clips to make contact with the trainees' skin. If the aligator clips used aren't clean, they have the potential to cause infection. Dirty dishes and bad food prep also have the potential to spread disease - but we don't close down every restaurant, we ensure precautions are taken to minimize related dangers. Again, not an issue with tasering, it's a problem with cleanliness and the fault of the trainer.
I don't feel that anything in that article persuades me to believe tasers were responsible for the trainees' problems. They could've suffered the exact same injuries from a bad hit during self-defense or take-down training, or from any number of dirty surfaces, utensils, or food.
