I'm proud of the boys today. Show's the USA's "never give up attitude" even if the world's refs are against us.
Big game for Germany today. I'm guessing 3-1 over Ghana.

Not much of a Soccer fan but have followed the US team a little.
This is a teensy bit off the topic but for you soccer fans, ESPN was pimping a documentary all week from their "30 for 30" series called "The Two Escobars". It is a two hour doc about the rise of soccer in COlumbia and how it coincided with money from the drug cartels and their leaders like Pablo Escobar. It also details their star Andres Escobar and how his accidental knocking a ball into his teams own net eventually led to his murder when he returned to Columbia.
I watched it last night and it was excellent. Far more than I expected from ESPN and a really entertaining and interesting historical show. And some of the soccer highlight footage in the documentary will make your jaw drop to the floor. I think it is definately Emmy worthy and HIGHLY recommend it.

If it were possible, I would love to play Australia. We already beat them before the WC.
One of the most intense games I've watched the U.S. play this morning. If we had tied, I was prepared to consciously break my phone and one other thing. I was mostly pissed with Algeria, because like the announcers said - they were just wasting time to fortunately come out with NOT a loss. Seriously? I understand no team wants to lose, but when you're intentionally holding a better team back from going further in the tournament?
Anyways, most likely play Ghana... I feel pretty confident about that.

Go USA! Even tying is good enough for thee; no need for winning...yet.
With that said, the end is near for the US team, for they cannot compete with those awesome S. American and Euro teams.
