The press made a huge deal about the Japanese team's height average vs. the Denmark's. But look at the outcome. However, the Japanese team's average height is 5'9 1/2" (176cm), that's not exactly midget, but still shorter than the competitions', I guess. The South Korean team is slightly taller at 5'10" (177cm).

FYI, Maradona is/was 5'5"; Pele 5'8" (two of the greatest football players).

P.S. The U.S. and Japan teams are at the end of their ropes (vs. the tougher S. American and Euro competitions).
