Having a goal not called or, in Mexico's case, having a goal allowed against you when it was clearly offsides completely kills any sort of momentum and it has a HUGE effect on the game. I hope the officiating mistakes are kept to a minimum.

In theory, yes, but not in reality. In reality, they all tried their very best to score and defend, but their opponents were just better (and it showed throughout the matches).

Through my experience playing ANY competitive sport, if the opposite team is granted a goal they didn't deserve because it was offsides/handball/whatever, it really messes up the momentum of the game. As an official or a spectator it may not seem like a big deal, but as a player it has a HUGE effect on the game. Frustration sets in and careless mistakes are made more easily. Argentina's 1st goal against Mexico was offsides. It's not easy to come back from a goal in the World Cup; especially against Argentina.

I'm not saying Mexico is better than Argentina(because they're not), but it's definitely not right at all. I hope FIFA finally does something about it. The officiating in this World Cup has been much worse than in the past. Almost every game there's a huge blown call.

I don't disagree there, but it was very clearly shown which teams were faster, more organized, and better-performing throughout the entire games, and Argentina and Germany were such teams. They made the other sides look slow and sloppy from the very start. In the end, the better-performing teams did win, and convincingly so; although I was really rooting for Mexico and England, yet they both lost.

Poor Komano (the Japanese player who missed the penalty kick)! He'll probably fall into a deep depression and may even commit suicide over this.

Paraguay played dirty in the game.

I still don't understand why they put Komano (a defender who has never scored a goal) up for kicking.
